GowandaOnline Message Boards

Welcome to the new GowandaOnline Message Boards! This area was established August 1, 2005 to replace the previous message boards with a new system that allow users a wide array of message enhancements. There are 26 stock smilies available for those who wish to use them. File uploading is available to allow you to attach images and other files to your posts. Two message design editors and a spell checker give you extensive control over the layout of your message
At present, all visitors to GowandaOnline are able to read the posts, but only registered users (with verified e-mail address) are able to post or see the user directory. You have a wide range of options in limiting access to your profile. Also, depending on the information you provide, other users can send you private messages or instant messages.
For starters, I have tried to include a wide range of Categories and Forums to organize the future message threads. If you have another Category or Forum to suggest, contact me and I will see about making the addition to the area. I also have the option to create password protected and private forums. If you have a group that would like to have a private or password protected forum set up for you, contact me about that as well.

For years I have thought  gowanda has needed a community/recreation center for students and adults. I own the old printshop building at s water and walnut sts and think this would be an ideal location and building for such a center. What do you think? any comments -ideas

i have seen a great need for the teens in our area to have somethng meaningful to do in our community. i think if we could get something going with interested adults who can spend time with and maybe share their talents with the youth. even if we started in differant homes. once we started a movement to help our youth feel useful a facility would become available somehow. maybe we could get the kids working at something to raise money for a facility or even a pool. if they knew their efforts were worthwhile and contrubuting toward something to make their lives more interesting and worthwhile, the kids would be willing to participate inorder to see it actually come about.
